Primary Education Program
Education empowers individuals with knowledge and critical thinking skills, fostering intellectual growth, curiosity, and lifelong learning. It promotes social cohesion, and tolerance, and drives societal advancement. Investing in education is an investment in a brighter, inclusive, and sustainable future.
For these reasons, Dakbhanga Bangladesh started its journey with an education program since its inception in 1998 by starting a primary school at Dakbhanga village Garjonya Union, Ramu, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh with 35 children.
Our approach
We prioritize universal access to quality education through infrastructure development, resource provision, teacher training and training of School Management Committees. We address socioeconomic barriers, promote inclusivity, and incorporate modern teaching methods. Collaborative efforts with government agencies, civil society, and partners ensure sustainable funding, policies, and assessment systems with a special focus on the cognitive development of the children. We have a special approach named after-school care (in their home or close to home) for the students who have no helping hand for study support in their home.
We are committed to paving the way for a robust education system that empowers its citizens and drives socio-economic progress.
Our Impact
Our Achievements up to June 2023
- 2 Primary schools established with infrastructure
- 4 teachers’ lodging was established in each school free of cost to ensure better care for the children
- 9000+ children enrolled for getting an education
- 4 teachers were recruited from our project students & 14 teachers were recruited/ trained
- 7968 students through 410 sessions were covered under after-school tutorials from January’21
- 55 + children received stipends from the government and private sector of Cox’s Bazar
Way Forward
With a focus on our mission and future goals, we are determined to expand our scope and adapt our models to meet the needs of project areas. We recognize our limitations but are committed to exploring our potential, driven by hope and passion with the support of influential people in the community.
